Blogs > Ann DeMatteo's Why Us?

Since my breast cancer diagnosis on June 9, 2008, I have spent a fairly decent amount of time wondering "why me?" I would like to hear from you about your cancer stories. Let's create a dialogue of learning, sharing and hope.

Hi Ann, I just want to say how helpful it is to read your columns, especially when you hit on an emotion others can relate to, like feeling alone in your struggle. I have been supporting my best friend in her fight, going with her to chemo and driving her home since June. She's having a great response, thank God. But now, by an incredible coincidence, I have also been diagnosed with DCIS and invasive breast cancer. I had my lumpectomy, and unfortunately the invasive was there, not just the DCIS the original biopsy had found. So the next step is a sentinel node biopsy. I am hoping and praying for nothing to be found there, or I may be sitting next to my friend at chemo! Well, take good care of yourself and know that others are with you every day.

Dear Pink Too...
I had DCIS and invasive as well, with at least one lymph node affected. Stay in touch and good luck.

hello, you should look into apricot seeds..it was a cure for cancer back in the ancient days and is a cure still to this day..fda is not for consumers..in fact there was a doctor whose office was raided and shut down because, license revoked.. he told his patients to take apricot seeds..can you believe that the fda would pay attention to this...well, look into it..it is in fact a cure for cancer...i hope this helps someone..it shrinks tumors and has a 80% success rate and chemo's success rate is much much luch lower than 80%
